Tabata is a high-intensity workout protocol that has fitness and weight-loss benefits. This is a short workout ranging from 20 – 60 minutes, consisting of 8-10 blocks. A sequence is repeated eight times for a total of 4 minutes. This workout style offers the maximum benefit with the least amount of time used to get those results.
Tabata will raise your metabolism and heart rate immediately and your body will have to work much harder to keep up. This will cause your heart to pump fast and your metabolism to jump (i.e more fat loss). Your metabolism will stay higher not only during the workout, but after as well. This means that your body will be burning fat for hours after.
